6.15 Installing the elbow joint in the upper arm socket

Complete the following steps for installation in the upper arm socket:
1) Apply silicone grease to the exterior thread of the elbow joint.
2) Screw the elbow joint into the upper arm.

7.1 Adjusting the level of compensation

CAUTION
Incorrect donning and doffing of the prosthesis
Risk of injury due to sudden flexion of the prosthesis.
► Switch off the prosthesis before donning or doffing.
► The prosthesis must always be flexed for donning and doffing.
CAUTION
Sudden flexion of the product due to high level of compensation
Risk of injury due to sudden flexion of the prosthesis.
► Note the level of compensation when taking off heavy clothing.
► Note the setting for the level of compensation when the prosthesis is not being worn.
► The prosthesis must always be flexed for donning and doffing.
Complete the following steps to set the level of compensation:

There are three different compensation ranges:

► Fasten the flexion cable inside the marked area.
INFORMATION: The end of the flexion pull
cable must not be drawn into the socket when
the forearm is released.
1) Flex the arm.
2) Use the dial to adjust the compensation.
INFORMATION: The adjustment range is limited
by stops.
INFORMATION: The adjustment mechanism is
protected by a slip clutch.
