1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR
HANDLING THE CIRCULAR SAW
Improper dust capturing, operating with unsecured work
piece or touching the moving parts of the circular saw
could cause severe physical injuries, and noise loading
could damage the operator's hearing.
Before starting to operate the circular saw, always
check the following:
• Make sure power supply voltage corresponds to the
value indicated on the name plate with technical data
of the tool. Circular saws with a rating of 230 V can
also be connected to 220 V supply.
• Always check the position of ON/OFF switch. The circular
saw must be connected to the power supply socket only
when this switch is in OFF position.
• Always inspect the blade. Use only well grinded blades.
Never use blades with cracks and indents or HSS-blades.
• Slotting knife must not touch the blade.
• Check if the mobile guard moves freely.
• Make sure the work piece or the material is well secured.
• Make sure the power cable and the plug are in order.
In case of faults the defective item must be replaced
by an authorized person.

3. USING THE CIRCULAR SAW
• Always wear goggles. Use of protective gloves and ear
defenders is recommended.
• Always withdraw the plug from the power supply socket
before replacing the blade, adjusting and maintenance
of the machine or in case of mains drop out.
• Always keep the power cable away from the working
area of the circular saw.
• Feed the circular saw toward the material only if it
6
is switched on.
• Never apply side pressure to stop the blade rotation
after switching off the saw.
• Do not use blades thicker and with teeth set thinner
than the slotting knife with thickness 2 mm.
• Do not use blades with parameters not corresponding
to those mentioned above.
• Do not dismount the slotting knife, except for emer-
sion incision.
• Mobile guard must not be locked in open position
during the pauses between different operations.
• Be intent when working with the saw to prevent
incision of nails, etc.
• Feed the circular saw smoothly (thus reducing accidents
and prolonging blade life).
• Do not overload the saw.
• On jamming the blade switch out the tool immediately
(by loosening switch lever).
• This tool satisfies the corresponding safety require-
ments. Except for changing the blade, adjusting the
slotting knife and incision debt, all other operations and
repairs must be performed by an authorized person in
the authorized warranty service centre.
• Power tools must not be used autdoors in rainy weather,
or in moist environment (after rain) or in close vicinity
with easily flammable liquids and gases. The working
place should be well lit.
4. SOUND LEVEL
The noise and vibration levels of this device have been
-1
measured in accordance with European standard EN
60745-2-5 and EN 60745-1 and serve as a basis for com-
parison with other machines with similar applications.
The indicated vibration level has been determined for
the device's main applications and may be used as an
initial value for evaluating the risk presented by expo-
sure to vibrations. However, vibrations may reach levels
that are quite different from the declared value under
other application conditions, with other tools or with
insufficient maintenance of the electrical device or its
accessories, reaching a much higher value as a result
of the work cycle or the manner in which the electrical
device is used.
:<2.5 m/s
2
Therefore, it is necessary to establish safety measures
h
2
to protect the user from the effects of vibrations, such
as maintaining both the device and its tools in perfect
condition and organising the duration of work cycles
(such as operating times when the machine is subjected
to loads, and operating times when working with no-load,
in effect, not in use, as reducing the latter may have a
considerable effect upon the overall exposure value).
5. SWITCHING ON - SWITCHING OFF
Switching on: -press locking button 1 (Fig. 1) and then
the lever of ON/OFF switch 2 (Fig. 1).
