• VHF/UHF: This is
usually caused by a
weak signal. Adjust the

building. Adjust the
direction of the
antenna or raise it.
• VHF/UHF: This is
usually caused by
nearby radio
transmitters or
shortwave receiving
equipment.
• VHF/UHF: This is
usually caused by high
temperature
electrothermal
equipment in a nearby
business.
• Make sure that the
television is turned on.
• Make sure that the
television is plugged in.
• Make sure that the
volume control is not
turned down or the

Solution
• Make sure that the
television is turned on.
• Make sure that the
television is in TV
mode. Press the TV
button on the remote to
switch to TV mode.
• Make sure that
batteries are installed
correctly.
• Make sure that no
bright lights are
striking the sensor
window in the
television or remote
control.
• Make sure that no
obstacles are between
the television and
remote control.
• Make sure that the
INPUT
button is set to
TV.
• Make sure that the
antenna is tightly
connected.
• Make sure that the
INPUT
button is set to
TV.
• Make sure that the
color, brightness, and
contrast controls are
correctly adjusted.
• Make sure that the
antenna is connected.
• Make sure that the
antenna is not broken.
• Make sure that
channels are correctly
tuned. You may need
to fine tune these
