3.3 Switching the flash unit
on and off
• Switch on the flash unit by pressing the
button
The unit will revert to the last operating
mode and the LED display will light up
accordingly.
The button
flashes red in standby
mode. Switch off the flash unit by pres-
sing the button
until all LED
displays are off.
In the event that the flash unit will not
be required for a longer period of time,
we recommend switching the unit off by
pressing the
button and removing
the power supply (batteries, rechargea-
ble batteries).
3.4 Automatic unit shut-off / Auto
OFF
The flash unit is configured so that
3 minutes after -
• switching on,
• triggering the flash,
• lightly depressing the camera shutter
release,
• switching off the camera flash mete-
ring system...
...it switches to standby mode (Auto
OFF) in order to both save energy and
avoid any unintentional draining of the

power source.

The operational settings last used are
retained following automatic shut-off
