Gas cylinder

Please use only 28-30 mbar Butane gas or 37 mbar Propane gas cylinders with a specific regulator
for butane and/or propane gas, suitable for gas barbecues and compliant with European standard
EN 16129 (e.g: EN 12864).
•
Use a gas cylinder with a capacity of 6 to 13 kg.
•
Please observe the dimensions indicated in the diagram below:

Do not obstruct the ventilation openings in the gas cylinder housing.
•
Do not use a damaged or rusty gas cylinder. If the cylinder is damaged or rusty, have it checked by
your gas supplier. Do not use a gas cylinder with a damaged valve.

Use a regulator with a safety mechanism, in compliance with the national regulations in force (NF for
soap
France): 37 mbar for propane or 28-30 mbar for butane.
•
The gas cylinder must be stored outdoors, protected from the elements, in an upright position and
out of the reach of children.
•
The gas cylinder must not be stored in a place where the temperature is above 50°C.
•
Make sure that the appliance is away from any source of heat (cigarettes, sparks, open flames, etc.).
•
Never place the gas cylinder under or on a combustible surface.
•
Do not place any flammable materials and aerosols near the appliance.
•
Place the gas cylinder on a flat and stable surface outside the appliance during operation.

The G1/2 gas inlet is located on the left-hand side of the appliance.
•
Only a flexible hose specifically for butane and/or propane gas, suitable for gas barbecues,
compliant with standard NF D36-112 (E.g.: XP D36-112) and having a length of 1.20 m or 1.50 m
(maximum) must be used to connect the appliance to the gas cylinder.
•
Change the flexible hose before its expiry date, if it is damaged, if it shows cracks, or when national
legislation requires it.
•
Do not pull or twist the flexible hose.
•
The flexible connecting hose must not be subjected to torsional stress when using the appliance.
•
This equipment must be kept away from flammable materials during use.
•
Make sure that the flexible hose is never in contact with parts of the appliance that may become hot.
•
Do not obstruct the ventilation openings in the gas cylinder housing.
•
Ensure that you change the flexible hose used for connection according to the expiry date indicated
on its sheath.
•
Always change the gas cylinder away from any ignition source.
WARNING! Never connect your appliance to town
gas (natural gas). The gas circuit is designed
exclusively for butane/propane gas (G30/G31).

Screw the G1/2 threaded nut of the hose onto the appliance's inlet connection (Figure A above)
and the M20×1.5 threaded nut (black) into the outlet connection of the regulator (Figure B above)
according to the instructions provided with the hose.

Connect the regulator to the gas cylinder (Figure C above). Refer to the instructions for installing
the regulator and cylinder.
4.
Check the tightness of the assembly by performing a leak test (see next section: "Leak test").
