4. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. To operate this equipment properly and obtain the best technical results,
carefully read the safety instructions in this manual.
2. Only allow the use of this equipment by people who understand and can follow
the safety rules and instructions contained in this leaflet.
3. Utmost care should be taken when handling agrochemicals, as insecticide
contamination can occur in several ways: through the skin or breathing through
the nose or mouth.
When operating the machine with agrochemicals, always use personal protective
equipment (PPE), such as:
a) Protective clothing (long-sleeved shirt, trousers and
apron) - protection against chemical exposure
b) Protective goggles (facial visor) - Protection of eyes and part
of face against spray drops
c) Respirator - Protects nose and mouth from inhaling the spray
particles suspended in the air
d) Head cover - Protects the head, face and neck from spray drops.
e) Rubber gloves - Protects hands
f) Rubber boots - maintain trouser bottoms over the top of the boot
NOTE: The appropriate PPE must be used according to the safety instructions
contained in the product label.
4. Do not spray against the wind or on very windy days.
5. Never allow pesticide applications to be carried out by minors, pregnant
women, sick people or those who are being treated with medicines, or for drug or
alcohol use.
6. Keep children, other people and animals at a distance of at least 20m from the
work area.
7. Follow the instructions of the chemical manufacturer.
8. Clean the equipment before making any repairs.
9. In case of any doubts, contact our Service Department.
10. Do not eat, smoke or drink liquids during the preparation or application
procedure.
11. Wash hands and face with water and soap after application and before eating,
smoking or drinking liquids.
12. Shower at the end of each working day and put on clean clothes.
13. If the insecticide came into contact with your skin, immediately wash the
affected area with soap and water.
14. Personal clothing should be changed immediately if they come into contact
with the insecticide.
