SHARpENING SCISSORS
Your Sharpening Tool can sharpen most
straight edge household scissors.
To sharpen a pair of scissors:
1. Install knife/scissor guide onto motor unit.
2. Plug Sharpener in.
3. Turn motor unit "ON".
4. Open scissors fully and hold handle of
scissors in your right hand. Keep pivot of
scissors and other handle to the right hand
side of motor unit.
5. Insert blade into scissor slot of guide, rest
against guide surface, support your other
hand, and draw blade from left to right. Use
light steady pressure for best results.
6. Flip scissors over to sharpen the other blade
and repeat step 5. If your scissors separate,
repeat step 5 with the other blade.
7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 if necessary until
clean sharp edge is achieved.
8. Turn motor unit "OFF".
SHARpENING CHISElS AND
plANER BlADES
Your Sharpening tool can sharpen flat wood
chisels or planer blades ¼" to 2" in width.
To sharpen a blade:
1. Install chisel/plane guide onto motor unit per
"Installing and Removing Guides".
2. For chisels 1-1/4" and less install narrow
chisel spacer.
3. Plug Sharpener in.
4. While wearing protective gloves, place blade
on guide plate top side down. Magnets on
the guide plate will help to hold the chisel in
place. Slide the blade against back edge of
guide plate or front surface of narrow chisel
spacer to ensure proper alignment.
