tient. Lateral positioning of the joint piece with lock allows easier control
with the body harness and is recommended.
It may be necessary to change the position of the joints through positioning
the joint plate towards the forearm (Fig. 4, arrow):
• For this purpose, first loosen both freely accessible screws and remove
the 16Y29 Bar from the guide.
• Remove the plastic cover (fig. 5/6).
• Turn the dismantled bar by 180° along its longitudinal center line and
reassemble the bar (fig. 7).
• Tighten the screws alternately until the bar is guided in the joint piece
without play. If the torque is too strong, friction will occur in the joint. This
would cause higher wear and tear.
• Subsequently, loosen the second 16Y29 Bar (fig. 7), turn it by 180° – as
described above – and reassemble.
The position of the other joint bar should be changed in the same manner.
INFORMATION
The correct torque of the screws is 2.5 Nm to 3 Nm (fig. 7/8). Use 710D6
Torque Wrench to tighten the screws.
NOTICE
Malfunction of the joint. Do not use threadlockers for securing screw.
Failure to follow this instruction can lead to malfunction of the joint.
4.2 Assembly

• Temporarily attach all components (incl. wrist unit and hand) to the inner
socket for positioning and determining the length of the elbow joint bars.
Make sure the axis of rotation of the 16Y27 Joint Piece with Cable Lock
and 16Y31=N Joint Piece without Lock are in one line. This minimizes the
wear of joints through transversal forces which would occur.
• Mount the elbow joint bars so that the joint plate is positioned towards
the forearm. More space is available in the forearm for accommodation
of the joint plate, which facilitates subsequent shaping of the bars.
