3. Replace the battery cover and close the battery compartment.
Remove the batteries if you are no longer using the device or if the device is left unused for an
extended period of time.
Remove used batteries promptly.
7. Operation
Before first use, remove the plastic tab to allow the batteries to touch the contacts.
Place the scale on a flat and stable, non-slippery surface.
7.1 Switching On/Off
1. Press the ON/TARE button to switch on the scale. The scale is ready-for-use after a brief
initialization.
2. Press and hold the ON/TARE button to switch off the scale. The scale will automatically switch off
after 1 minute of inactivity.
7.2 Unit Measures
Press the UNIT button to select the desired weighing unit. The scale will cycle between gram, fluid
ounces, pounds and kilogramme with every press.
7.3 How to Weigh
1. Switch on your scale and select the weighing unit.
2. Gently place the item to be weighed onto the platform and read the weight on the LCD display.
7.4 Using the Tare Function
1. Switch on your scale and select the weighing unit.
2. Gently place the container onto the platform and wait for the display to stabilise.
3. Briefly press the ON/TARE button. The display will set to zero.
4. You may now add the item to be weighed in the container and read the weight on the LCD display.
7.5 Indications
The display will show EEEE if you exceed the maximum allowed weight.
The display will show Lo when battery power is insufficient.
