Troubleshooting

Problem observed
The blades do not turn,
even in strong wind
Blades turn fast but with
no charge
Wind turbine brakes
automatically in high
wind
Possible cause
Incorrect wiring from
wind turbine to
regulator.
Reserve brake connected. Disconnect reserve brake.
Short circuit in wind
turbine phases.
Regular diode short
circuit
Battery disconnected or
defective.
Voltage incorrect
between batteries,
regulator, and wind
turbine.
Wind turbine phases
disconnected
Batteries are charged by
other element, such as
solar panels or
generator.

Solution
Check wiring.
Disconnect wind turbine
phases from the
regulator. If this is not
turning freely, the
problem could be the
wiring. Check possible
joins in the wiring. If the
problem persists, contact
your supplier.
Disconnect the wind
turbine phases from the
regulator. If this turns
freely, its regulator could
be malfunctioning.
Contact your supplier.
Check battery voltage is
correct.
Check there is voltage in
the input to the wind
turbine and regulator. If
there is no voltage,
check wiring.
Functioning correctly.
