Summary, Declaration of Conformity

Using the versatile TITRONIC
a laboratory can be completed. The substances or mixtures of substances to be dosed must be liquid.
The examples of possible uses for the piston burette include:
- Dosage and titration within the TitriSoft Computer Titration System
- Titrating in combination with automatic titration units from SCHOTT-GERÄTE such as the TitroLine
alpha plus
- Titrating using the TR 160 Manual Titration Controller
- Dosing with a pre-selected volume, time, or speed
The following may be used:
- All common titration solutions, with the solutions specified in the "Küster-Thiel" calculation tables (pub-
lished by Walter de Gruyter) being taken as standard.
- Water and all non-aggressive, inorganic and organic fluids may be used as solvents. When handling in-
flammable substances the explosion protection directives of the Professional Association of the Chemical
Industry are to be observed.
− With liquids with a higher viscosity (≥ 5 mm²/s), a low boiling point, or a tendency to exhalation, the fill-
ing speed can be adapted.
− Liquids with a viscosity above 50 mm
The two RC-232-C-interfaces allow the chained arrangement of TITRONIC
among each other as well as the connection of other devices from SCHOTT-GERÄTE which suitable for
chaining, e.g. the TitroLine alpha plus Titrator and the TitriSoft software in combination with a PC. A stan-
dardised connector enables a standard PC keyboard (PS2) (fig. 15, item 6) to be connected for a conven-
ient parameterisation of various functions.
A stand can be connected directly to the TITRONIC
rer or an electrode clamp (Fig. 2).
Interchangeable Units are available for volumes of 50 ml, 20 ml, 10 ml, 5 ml and 1 ml (Fig. 5). The centre-
piece of the interchangeable units is formed by the high-precision borosilicate glass cylinder (Fig. 5)
the internal diameter of which is made with a manufacturing tolerance of ±0.003 mm. This diameter
tolerance and the low-wear high-precision spindle inside the piston burette reduce the maximum fault
deviation caused by the piston burette to ± 0.1% for the TITRONIC
the interchangeable units of the TA 10, TA 20, and TA 50 types.
