3.2. INTENDED USE

 For checking, inspecting and investigating inaccessible and out of sight areas.
 For mounting on an endoscope.

 For use without accessories; use the probe only with the thread protective ring screwed on.
 The probe head can be used in unleaded petrol, machine oil, diesel, brake fluid (DOT 4), gear oil
and neutral cleaner.
 For both industrial and private use.
 Use only in a technically perfect and safe condition.
 Use exclusively approved Hoffmann Group accessories for modification or rebuilding.

3.3. REASONABLY FORESEEABLE MISUSE

 Do not subject it to blows, impacts or heavy loads.
 Do not bend the probe through more than 155°.
 Do not use the probe head as a hook.
 Rotate the probe only by means of the rotary wheel, not directly at the probe head.
 Do not use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
 Do not use it in environments where combustible gases, vapours or solvents are present, such
as in vehicle fuel tanks or gas tanks.
 Do not open the casing.
 Do not make any unauthorised changes or modifications.
 Do not expose the work lamp to intense heat, direct sunlight or naked flames.

3.4. DUTIES OF THE OPERATING COMPANY

The operating company must ensure that personnel who work on the product comply with the
regulations and provisions together with the following instructions:
 National and regional regulations for safety, accident prevention and environmental protection
regulations.
 No damaged products are assembled, installed or commissioned.
 The necessary protective equipment is provided.
