1 Operating Elements and Connections
1.1 Camera, with sunshield and bracket

2 Safety Notes
The units (power supply unit and camera) correspond
to all required directives of the EU and are therefore
marked with
.
WARNING The power supply unit is supplied with
hazardous mains voltage (230 V~).
Leave servicing to skilled personnel
only. Inexpert handling may cause an
electric shock hazard.
Please observe the following items in any case:
The power supply unit is suitable for indoor use only.
Protect the units against extreme temperatures and
also protect the power supply unit against dripping
water, splash water, and high air humidity.
Do not place any vessel filled with liquid on the
power supply unit, e. g. a drinking glass.
The camera housing is watertight according to IP 68,
i. e. a maximum water depth of 1 m and a maximum
immersion time of 2 days.
The heat generated within the power supply unit
must be carried off by air circulation. Therefore,
never cover the air vents of the housing.
Do not insert anything into the air vents! This may
result in an electric shock.
Do not operate the power supply unit and immedia-
tely disconnect the plug from the mains socket

1. if there is visible damage to the units or to the
mains cable,
2. if a defect might have occurred after a unit was
dropped or suffered a similar accident,
3. if malfunctions occur.
In any case the units must be repaired by skilled per-
sonnel.
A damaged mains cable must be replaced by the
manufacturer or skilled personnel only.
Never pull the mains cable when disconnecting the
mains plug from the socket, always seize the plug!
For cleaning never use aggressive cleansing agents
or chemicals. For the power supply unit only use a
dry, soft cloth.
No guarantee claims for the units or liability for any
resulting personal damage or material damage will
be accepted if the power supply unit or the camera
is used for other purposes than originally intended, if
it is not correctly connected, operated, or not re-
paired in an expert way.
Important for U.K. Customers!
The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accord-
ance with the following code:
green / yellow = earth
blue = neutral
brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug, pro-
ceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured green and yellow must
be connected to the terminal in the plug which is
marked with the letter E or by the earth symbol
or coloured green or green and yellow.
2. The wire which is coloured blue must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter N or coloured black.
3. The wire which is coloured brown must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.
Warning – This appliance must be earthed!
If the units are to be put out of operation de-
finitively, take them to a local recycling plant
for a disposal which is not harmful to the envi-
ronment.
3 Applications

and the corresponding power supply unit are specially
designed for use in video surveillance systems. The
one-cable technique only requires a single coaxial
cable for connecting the camera to the power supply
unit as the coaxial cable allows both power supply and
video signal transmission. The cameras are supplied
with a removable sunshield and a wall/ceiling bracket
with ball joint.
