»alarmo« for the signolux alerting
system.
You have chosen a highly modern and
reliable device. Please read this ma-
nual thoroughly. It will tell you how to
set up the system correctly and exp-
lain all the features it has to offer.

mediately contact your dealer or the
manufacturer directly.
Safety instructions
- Prior to putting the device into op-
eration and using it, kindly read
this manual thoroughly and in full.
- Store this user manual in a safe
place so that it is also acces-
sible for other users at any time.
- When using power tools always
follow the instructions of the manu-
facturer and wear suitable protective
equipment (e.g. protective goggles).
- Kindly check before starting to
drill if there are any hidden elec-
tric cables or water pipes in
the walls. In case of doubt we
recommend using a a cable
detector.
Function
»alarmo« has been conceived to ena-
ble the easy incorporation of alrea-
dy existing smoke detectors into the
»signolux«-signalling system, without
need for modification or wiring.
»alarmo« scans environmental noises
in proximity for sound patterns typical
of smoke detectors and fire alarm sys-
tems of any type.
False alarms, possibly caused by
alarm sounds not actually within in
the room (e. g. passing emergency
vehicles, TV and movie sound effects)
are prevented by means of intelligent
analysis and filtering of the registered
sound.
If an alarm sound is identified as such,
»alarmo« transmits a radio signal to
all accordingly registered »signolux«
receivers within range, which will in-
dicate the incident with light, vibration
or sound - depending on the type of
receiver.
