6.1

Routine maintenance

WARNING!
Before any routine maintenance operation, put the button in OFF (4) position. All maintenance operations which
are not describe in this manual shall only be carried out by Authorized Service Points.
6.1.1

Storing the unit and maintaining its battery set

Before storing the unit for a prolonged period:
Charge the battery set (2) up.
Every 180 days repeat a complete battery (2) charge cycle.
Store the unit in a dry place inside its case. Do not leave it under the rain.
WARNING!
If a battery recharge cycle is not carried out every 180 days, the battery set (2) gets definitely damaged (see par.
6.1.1).
6.2

Special maintenance

WARNING!
Any different maintenance operation not shown on this manual shall be carried out by an Authorized Service
Point only.
Extraordinary maintenance operations must be performed by a mechanical maintenance technician or an electri-
cal / electronic one.
7.1

Disposal of exhaust materials

After having been installed and during use, the machine does not cause any environmental pollution. However,
throughout its working life, some types of residual waste or exhaust materials (such as filters, oil, etc.) are being
produced in certain maintenance situations.
There are specific regulations in every Country as for the disposal of these materials and the environment protec-
tion. The Customer is required to be knowledgeable in the Laws in force in his own Country and to operate only
while complying with these regulations, according to the indications in the product technical charts, which may
be obtained from the Manufacturer.

The Laws in force about the disposal of mineral oils must be followed.
WARNING!
More information about the disposal of oils and other substances can be found in the safety chart of the sub-
stances.
The steps employed in the disposal of toxic waste including the collecting, transporting, processing (transfor-
mation for recycling), as well as the deposit and the dumping onto the ground are all usual activities of common
interest and are subject to the following general principles:
a)
Any risks of injuries or dangers for the health and safety of any individual and of the community
have to be avoided.
b)
Compliance with any and all hygienic-sanitary requirement and avoidance of any air, water, ground
and underground pollution have to be guaranteed.
Compliance with efficient and economical principles in order to save and recycle energy and materials shall be
promoted.
7.2

Indications for special waste

Special waste is that deriving from industrial processes as well as from materials of dismantled equipment and
deteriorated and obsolete machineries.
The special (also toxic and harmful) waste producers shall provide for its disposal directly or through qualified,
authorised companies or bodies, or shall deliver them to public service after having made an agreement.
When disposing of special waste, check with the relevant local government authority for any available information
regarding such waste disposal in your region.
