Additional Safety and Operation Instructions

of the hedge trimmer.
Remember that the operator or user is
 
responsible for any accident involving people
in their property.
Never allow children or people not
 
familiarized with these instructions to use the
hedge trimmer.
Warning!
In order not to damage your hedge trimmer,
check the place where it will be used and
remove any objects such as nails, wire etc.
before using the equipment.
Make sure you know how to quickly
 
switch off your hedge trimmer in case of an
emergency.
Check whether the voltage of your
 
equipment is the same of the power supply.
Do not operate your equipment barefoot or
 
with sandals.
The HT-500 hedge trimmer is provided with
double electric insulation to offer greater safety to
the operator. The double insulation is obtained
by two layers of electric insulation material in all
components that carry electric power.
Despite that double insulation, the safety
precautions described in this manual shall be
followed. Electric equipment built with this
insulation system do not require a ground wire.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Whenever cleaning or maintaining, make
sure the equipment is switched off and
unplugged.

Double Insulation

Warning:
The double insulation does not substitute
the precautions to be taken when using the
hedge trimmer. It is an additional safety feature
against accidents that may be caused by a
failure of the equipment insulation system.
While cutting a hedge, always wear adequate
shoes and pants.
Avoid operating the equipment if hedges are
humid; never operate it when raining.
Walk; do not run.
Use caution when working in inclined areas
(slopes).
When working on an inclined area, wear
non-skid shoes.
Only use the equipment during daylight or
under good lighting.
Always run the hedge trimmer with the
protection device.
When trimming hedges, keep the power cord
away from the cutting blades.
