The tweed-covered Fender Champ amp of the 1950s is well
known as the small-but-mighty tone machine that belongs in
every serious guitarist's collection. It's a terrific practice amp,
simple and pure, and is also prized by countless pro players for
its recording studio indispensability.
The '57 Custom Champ continues that glorious legacy, with
all-tube hand-wired circuitry and premium components. It fea-
tures the classic 5F1 design, delivering about 5 watts of output
power easily pushed into warm, compressed distortion. A U.S.-
made Weber® 8" alnico speaker is voiced for rich and dynamic
response, and new reverse-engineered '50s vintage "Yellow"
tone capacitors add subtly nuanced tonal magic. Along with
custom transformers, a single "chicken-head" volume control,
finger-joined solid pine cabinet, lacquered tweed covering and
more, the result is a richly rewarding Champ amplifier experi-
ence that's pure Fender.
The '57 Custom Champ amp's harmonically rich clean tones
are perfect for recreating classic guitar styles and for creat-
