: Place the die (4) on the baseplate.
: Position the saw chain on the die
block – the cutter concerned must
face up and the tie strap must be in
the appropriate recess.
Example: 3/8" Rapid chain in
workholding recess marked 3/8R.

: Bring down the handle (5) until the
punch (1) touches the rivet.
The rivet must be centered under
the punch.
: Pull the handle down to press the
rivet head out of the link.
