1. Height adjustment removal 2. Solenoid E clip and clevis pin
3. Mag head arm detachment 4. M3 shoulder screw 5. Sub assembly removal
1
Gently place the reader onto its back. Remove the two M2 socket head from each side of
the height adjustment mount using the HEX 1.5 driver.
2
Using a pair of small tweezers or pliers, carefully remove the E clip. This will allow you to
pull out the clevis pin and detach the arm from the solenoid.
TIP To properly remove the pin, swing the audio arm until the pin can move through
the space between the Collet nut and the solenoid. The collet nut is the nut on the
back of the XLR connector that clamps the cable.
3
Pull the mag head arm sideways to free the sub assembly from the solenoid.
4
Use a 2.5mm HEX driver to remove the M3 shoulder screw.
5
Carefully pull the sub assembly off the reader, making sure that the audio arm PCB
connector passes through the hole in the main PCB. Remove the old mag head spring from
the reader.
