Magnetic Head
Magnetic head inside the Audio and KeyKode reader
When you adjust the position and angle of the magnetic head, pay attention to the yaw, zenith,
tracking, height and azimuth. Use the 1.5 x 60 HEX driver to adjust the azimuth and tracking on
the A1 and A2 screws, and if required the zenith and yaw on the B1 and B2 screws.

the A1 and A2 screws with a 1.5mm SW driver
Checking the wear pattern:
1 Apply a marker pen to the tape head face.
2 Run film transport with 16mm leader for 3 to 5 seconds only.
3 Inspect head wear pattern for balanced wear either side of head gap and adjust as
required. Add more marker if multiple runs are required.
4 Remove excess marker with alcohol once satisfied.
To release pressure from the pivot point
on the azimuth and zenith, loosen the
respective M.2 x 8 socket patch screws on
the top and on the side of the mag head PCB
