8 Cleaning and Maintenance Information
Turn off the device before starting any cleaning or maintenance
process!
Do not use any corrosive chemicals, cleaning solutions or strong
cleaning agents in order to clean the backhand scanner incl.
battery and the docking station.
ATTENTION
All components should be disposed of properly at the end of their
technical lifetime.
ATTENTION
Clean the device when dirty and by placing it firmly onto a surface (e.g. table). This ensures a secure hold
and the device cannot slip out of your hand during the cleaning process.
8.1 Charging and Communication Contacts
If you have contact problems, clean the charging and communication contacts (snap fastener) with a soft,
moist cloth. When dealing with the DSHasciSE, the power plug should be disconnected beforehand.
8.2 Scanner window
In the event of any irregularities during scanning, switch off the device and clean the scanner window with a
soft, dry cloth. The scanner window is ultra-transparent and can hardly be seen with the naked eye. Carefully
clean the window without applying excess force on the glass.
Make sure that the laser beam is switched off by checking the
laser beam exit!
8.3 Button
To clean the button, always switch off the backhand scanner, as the button reacts to touch and may cause
malfunctions. Do not put a lot of pressure on the button.
