MAINTENANCE
Please read the instructions provided with the BIOBOX®, BIOBOX® mini and all of its
components very carefully.
Aquatlantis filtration systems require little maintenance, apart from the regular
management of B-Box cartridges.
To ensure optimum water filtration, filter foams should not be used for more than 5
months. Before inserting new filter materials, rinse them under running water. The
PURE WATER cartridge is valid for 1 month, BACT LIFE for 5 months, ANTI ALGAE for 2
months and CLEANWATER for 1 month. The shelf life of filter cartridges always depends
on the number of fish in the aquarium. These expiry dates correspond to data tested
under normal conditions.
Over the course of the filter's operation, the filter media will retain dirt from your
aquarium. As a result, their efficiency gradually decreases, which can lead to a reduc-
tion in water flow. When carrying out maintenance, the filter should not be stopped
for longer than 30 minutes and the filters should not be "disinfected", but only rinsed
slightly with water from the aquarium, thus ensuring sufficient purifying bacteria
for new colonisation. Remove the filter to clean it. Remove the foam and any filter
cartridges that are already saturated. Saturated filter materials must be replaced with
new ones. Replacing the B-Box filter media will ensure that your filter works properly.
Note:
The simultaneous replacement of the B-BOX Foam and B-BOX Bact Life media
may cause an imbalance in your tank. Aquatlantis recommends proceeding to the
replacement alternatively. Pay attention to the minimum and maximum water level
marked on your BIOBOX®. Always ensure that the water level stays above the minimum
and below the maximum level. It is recommended to turn on the filtration system some
days before adding fish to your tank. fonctionnement pendant quelques jours avant de
mettre les poissons dans l'aquarium. Only for indoor use. Verify if all the entrances are
unobstructed. Do not use under high temperature.
