Themotor/bladecontrolhandleis locatedon the upperhandleof the
mower.See Figure6. The motor/bladecontrol handleengagesand
disengages the motorand blade.The motor/bladecontrolconsistsof
threeparts- starterbutton,motor/bladecontrolhandle,and key.

IMPORTANT: I f the far left red lightilluminates, t he batterieswill
needto be rechargedbeforefurtheruse. Continuedoperationbefore
chargingmayshortenthe life of the batteries.
CIRCUIT

RESET BUTTON
The moweris equippedwith a circuitbreakerresetbutton,locatedon
the motor/bladecontrol.Referto Figure7.This circuitbreakerreset
buttonmaypop out whentoo muchstrain is placedon the motor.Refer
to Maintenance Sectionto reset this button.
Releasethe motor/bladecontrolhandleto stop the motorand blade.
Removethekey to preventaccidental s tartingwhenequipmentis
unattended.
KEY
The key mustbe presentand insertedbeforethe motorcan be started.
See Figure7.DO NOTTURN KEY.
Thebladewill be rotatingwheneverthe motoris running.

Thecutting heightadjustmentleveris locatedabovethe left rear
wheel.Toadjustthe cuttingheight,referto the AssemblySection.

Thebatterylevelindicatoris locatedon the motorcover.The indicator
showsthe conditionof the batteryand is on whenthe motoris on. The
indicatorlit all the wayto the rightindicatesthe batteryis fully charged;
as the indicatoris lit moretowardthe left,it indicatesthe batteryis
discharging.See Figure6 inset.
CHARGING
THE BATTERY
Charge the mower for 14 hours before initialuse. Chargemower
indoorsin a dry area out of the weather.DO NOTchargein rain or wet
locations.
IMPORTANT: U seonly the batterychargerprovidedwith this mower
(Partnumber725-04387).
Plugthe batterychargerintothe mowerfirst, and then intoany
standard 110/120 volt householdelectricaloutlet. See Figure7 inset
for batterycharginglocationon mower.
NOTE:If an extensioncord is required,useone that isat leastwire
size 16AWG.Connectthe extensioncordto chargerbeforeplugging
extensioncord intoelectricaloutlet.
