3.2 Feature description
The Dräger Air Purifier 5000 (DAP 5000) reduces the CO
content of the ambient air drawn in by the compressor. The air
that is drawn in is humidified and conducted through the soda
lime (Dive Sorb S) to reduce the CO
conducted through the soda lime and 1/4 is conducted through
the bypass. A return valve prevents the soda lime from drying
during periods of non-use.
3.3 Intended use
The DAP 5000 is installed upstream from a breathing air

compressor in order to reduce the CO

ambient air that is drawn in.

3.4 Limitations on intended use
Any use other than that mentioned in the "Intended use"
chapter shall be regarded as improper usage. The following in

4.1 Installation
CAUTION
For mobile applications, e.g. on ships, secure the DAP 5000
against slipping. The handles of the water and lime containers
can be used for mounting on the wall or the floor.
