hold it fi rmly in both hands.
1. Connect the extension cable to the
mains connection cable (2) of the de-
vice.
2. Make a loop in the power cable (2)
and suspend this in the strain relief
(12).
3. Plug the equipment into the mains.
4. To switch on, press the safety release
catch (13) and then squeeze the dead-
man lever (14). Release the safety
release catch (13).
The tines (7) will begin to rotate and
dig themselves into the earth.
5 To switch off, release the dead-man
lever (14).
Warning! The tines (7) will
continue to turn for a few
seconds after the equipment
has been switched off. Do
not touch the rotating tines
(7) – injury hazard!
Operating instructions
Always keep a fi rm grip on
the equipment with booth
hands and watch your feet.
The tines (7) may cause an
accident. Be careful while
moving backwards – danger
of tripping!
Do not touch the gearbox, as
it may become hot during op-
eration – danger of burns!
Switch the equipment off after work-
ing with it and for transport; discon-
nect from the mains and wait for
the tines (7) to stop moving.
To avoid damage to the
equipment:
• Never lift or drag the equipment with
the motor running.
• Lift the equipment while moving it over
hard surfaces such as tiles or steps.
• Walk the equipment through the soil at
normal pace and in a line as straight
as possible.
• Always work away from the mains
socket. Make sure that the cable is kept
well away from the working area.
Overload protection: The motor
will cut out immediately if overload-
ed. The equipment cannot be used
until it has completely cooled down
again.
Cleaning/Maintenance
Always return the equipment to
the service centre for work not
described in the manual. Only use
original parts.
Switch the equipment off, unplug
it from the mains, and wait for the
tines (7) to stop moving before
carrying out any maintenance or
cleaning work on the equipment.
Perform regular maintenance and cleaning
on the equipment. This will ensure long,
reliable service.
General cleaning and
maintenance work
Do not spray the equipment
down with water (especially
not under pressure), and do
not clean it under running
water.
