General Safety Warnings
WARNING: Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in
a serious injury.
WARNING: This tool is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced, physical or mental
capabilities or lack of experience or knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the tool by a person responsible for their safety. Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with
the tool.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
1) Work area safety
a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
b) Do not operate tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust.
c) Keep children and bystanders away while operating or using this tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
2) Personal safety
a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating or using this tool. Do not operate
or use the tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention
while operating or using the tool may result in serious personal injury. Work sensibly at all times with regular breaks if
necessary.
b) Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such as dust mask, non-skid
safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
c) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before operating the tool. A wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part of
the tool may result in personal injury.
d) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the tool in unexpected
situations.
e) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving
parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
3) Tool use and care
IMPORTANT: Tools used outdoors may require more regular cleaning and surface treatment to prevent corrosion, as well as
replacement grease or oil on moving parts to maintain them in good working condition .
a) Maintain tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condition
that may affect the tool's operation. If damaged, have the tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by
poorly maintained tools.
b) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind
and are easier to control.
c) Use the tool's accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions, taking into account the working
conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the tool for operations different from those intended could result in a
hazardous situation.
4) Service
a) Have your tool serviced or repaired by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will
ensure that the safety of the tool is maintained.
Pulling Tool Safety
Ensure your cable puller is maintained in a safe working condition . Observe the following important guidance:
• Operate using manual force only . Do not attempt to use external objects to increase leverage at the handle .
• Before each use, check the condition of the equipment . Pay particular attention to cables and locking mechanisms
• Cables should be free from kinks and should not show any evidence of fraying or cutting
• Locking mechanisms should work freely and should be clean of excessive dirt or grease
• Ensure the safety latches on the hooks are closed and the load is secure before pulling commences
• Test all safety devices (including automatic) before use
• DO NOT operate the puller with less than 3 wraps of cable on the spindle .
Product Familiarisation
• DO NOT attempt to pull items around or over a corner
• DO NOT wrap cable around any object DIRECTLY and hook it back on itself

• Under no circumstances use pulling equipment to pull people or objects with people attached
• Do not modify any pulling equipment . Any attempt to tamper with this equipment will invalidate its guarantee, and could
result in serious injury to yourself or others around you
• Pulling equipment should be inspected by a qualified person at least once each year and the results of the inspection
recorded in an inspection book for future reference
• If you are in any way unsure about the safe method of using this equipment, do not use it
• Assembly, maintenance, or independent operation of appliances may only be assigned to persons who are suitable for
and familiar with these procedures .
• Ensure the operation guide is available and accessible to persons who oversee assembly, maintenance or independent
operation of appliance .
• When moving loads:
o The operator may start moving a load only after determining it is clear that the load is safely secured, and that no
persons remain in the danger area, or after confirmation has b een received from the chainer.
o The operator must maintain an unrestricted view of all load movements .
o If the operator is unable to observe all load movements, suitable measures must be taken to ensure bystanders in
the vicinity of the load are not at risk .
Intended Use
Hand-powered cable puller to aid in pulling procedures . Suitable for non-commercial, light-to-medium duty use only .
WARNING: This tool is for pulling function only . Not for lifting or lashing .
Note: This product is not suitable for industrial use .
The product must ONLY be used for its intended purpose . Any use other than those mentioned in this manual will be
considered a case of misuse . The operator, and not the manufacturer, shall be liable for any damage or injury resulting from
such cases of misuse. The manufacturer shall not be liable for any modifications made to the product, nor for any damage
resulting from such modifications.
Unpacking your Tool
• Carefully unpack and inspect your new tool . Familiarise yourself with all its features and functions
• Ensure that all parts of the tool are present and in good condition . If any parts are missing or damaged, have such parts
replaced before attempting to use this tool
Operation
WARNING: ALWAYS wear eye protection, as well as suitable cut-proof gloves, when working with this tool .
Attaching the Cable Puller
1 . Attach the Cable Hook (7) onto the item to be pulled . Ensure the total load will not exceed 2000kg .
2 . Check the item is securely attached and the Safety Bar (2) is closed
3 . Slide the Ratchet Drive Spring (5) across to the disengaged position so that the Handle (8) does not engage the Ratchet
Teeth (4)
4. Press the Ratchet Lock Lever (3) and unwind sufficient Cable (6) from the spool to attach the Fixed Hook (1) to the anchor
position . Release the Ratchet Lock Lever . Ensure hooks are securely attached and Safety Bar is closed (Fig . I)
Pulling
1 . Slide the Ratchet Drive Spring (5) across to the engaged position so that the Handle (8) engages the Ratchet Teeth (4)
2 . Crank the Handle (8) backwards and forwards to tension the cable and pull the load

Releasing the tension
1 . Slide the Ratchet Drive Spring (5) across to the disengaged position so that the Handle (8) does not engage the Ratchet
Teeth (4)
2 . Carefully move the Handle (8) until the drive pawl pushes and disengages the stop pawl and clears the Ratchet Teeth .
Then move the Handle in the opposite direction, to release the load by one notch
3 . Repeat this handle motion as often as required, to release the tension one notch at a time, until enough slack has been
provided to remove the hooks
4 . Ensure the load is stable and secure before removing Fixed Hook (1) and Cable Hook (7)
WARNING: When releasing tension, avoid abrupt handle movements . Apply pressure to the Handle evenly and with a
smooth action . Abrupt movements can cause the load to shift, making it unstable .

Maintenance
General inspection
• Regularly check that all the fixing screws are tight
• Keep the Cable Puller clean and in good order . Store with the cable fully wound on the spool
• Carry out a visual inspection every time the Cable Puller is used and listen for any unusual sounds during operation
• Store in a safe, secure and dry place out of the reach of children
• Never disassemble the Cable Puller
• Inspect the mechanism before every use
Cleaning
• Keep your tool clean at all times . Dirt and dust will cause internal parts to wear quickly, and shorten the device's service life
• Clean the body of your tool with a soft brush, or dry cloth
• Never use caustic agents to clean plastic parts. If dry cleaning is not sufficient, a mild detergent on a damp cloth is
recommended
• Ensure the tool is thoroughly dry before using it
• If available, use clean, dry, compressed air to blow through the ventilation holes (where applicable)
Lubrication
• Lubricate all moving parts with a suitable lubricant spray, at regular intervals
Storage
• Store this tool carefully in a secure, dry place out of the reach of children
