5. MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
5.1 General
• Clean the product regularly between uses and especially after long periods of
storage.
• Make sure the product and its components have cooled down sufficiently before
cleaning.
• Never immerse the product in water when the surfaces are hot. Never handle hot
parts with unprotected hands.
• To extend the product's life and maintain its condition, we strongly recommend
covering the product if you leave it outside for long periods of time, especially
during the winter months.
• Clean the grates after each use with a good grill brush.
• Let the product cool down after each use. Then protect the grill grates with a light
coat of cooking oil and empty the grease tray under the burners.
• Wipe the exterior surfaces with a suitable kitchen cleaner and protect the surfaces
with a good cover that fits over the product.
5.2 Grill and warming rack
1. Clean with hot soapy water.
2. To remove food residue, use a mild cream cleaner on a non-abrasive sponge.
3. Rinse well and dry thoroughly.
5.3 Burners
• In regular use, burning off leftovers after cooking keeps burners clean.
• The burners should be removed and cleaned annually, or when heavy deposits
are found, to ensure there are no signs of clogging (dirt, insects) in the burner
orifices or venture pipes.
• Use a pipe cleaner to remove blockages.
• Use a wire brush to remove corrosion from the burner surfaces.
• When replacing the burner, make sure that the venture tubes of the burner fit
over the valve outlets.
5.4 Housing
• Periodically remove excess grease from the casing with a soft plastic or wooden
scraper. It is not necessary to remove all the grease from the body.
