• Clean surfaces in contact with food.
• Before cleaning, always switch off the appliance, let the appliance come to a complete stop
and set the thickness knob to 0.
• Disconnect the appliance from the electrical outlet.
• Clean the appliance after every use. This appliance contains no user serviceable parts and re-
quires little maintenance. Leave any servicing or repairs to qualified personnel only.
• Do not put any part of the appliance in the dishwasher.
• Never use corrosive detergents, wire brushes, abrasive scourers, or metal or sharp implements
to clean these parts.
• Wipe the appliance housing with a soft, damp cloth.
• Food holder: Immerse in warm, mild soapy water for several minutes. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
• Sliding feed table, food guide and food shield: Wipe with a soft cloth damped with some wash-
ing up liquid. Wipe with a clean cloth and dry thoroughly. Do not immerse in water or other
liquids.
Removing the blade:
• The blade is very sharp, handle with care.
• Pull the food guide backward, as far as it can slide.
• Turn the blade knob clockwise to unlock the blade. Then remove the blade.
• Immerse in warm, mild soapy water for several minutes. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
Inserting the blade:
• The blade is very sharp, handle with care.
• Turn the blade knob counter-clockwise to lock the blade in place.

• Store the appliance in a cool, dry and clean place, out of the reach of children and pets.
• Please keep the packaging for transporting the appliance or for storing your appliance when
not in use for a longer period of time.

tric and electronic equipment as well as their waste disposal. The symbol with the crossed dustbin shown on the package
indicates that the product at the end of its service life shall be collected as separate waste. Therefore, any products that
have reached the end of their useful life must be given to waste disposal centres specialising in separate collection of
waste electrical and electronic equipment, or given back to the retailer at the time of purchasing new similar equipment,
on a one for one basis. The adequate separate collection for the subsequent start-up of the equipment sent to be recycled,
treated and disposed of in an environmentally compatible way contributes to preventing possible negative effects on the
environment and health and optimises the recycling and reuse of components making up the apparatus. Abusive disposal
of the product by the user involves application of the administrative sanctions according to the laws.
