Installation Instructions
Pneumatic connection
T H E P N E U M AT I C C O N N E C T I O N M U S T B E
PERFORMED ONLY BY SKILLED PERSONNEL.
The machine requires an air pressure of 8 to 12 bar
(110-170 psi), as marked on the plate of the machine
and on a sticker attached to the cabinet next to the
air inlet.
Ensure that the line pressure is within the limits
required by the machine.
If the air pressure is lower than the minimum required
level of 8 bar (110psi) the clamping power of the wheel
support and the bead breaker force may be insufficient
for certain tyres.
If the air pressure exceeds 12 bar (170 psi) it is
mandatory to install a pressure regulator before the
air inlet of the machine.
It is recommended that the air supply line be equipped
with a water separator to reduce the amount of water
1
at the air inlet.
BEFORE CONNECTING THE MACHINE TO THE
AIR SUPPLY BE SURE THAT NOTHING IS LEFT
ON THE WHEEL SUPPORT AREA (TOOLS,
ETC).
After ensuring all the above proceed as follows:
Connect the machine to the air supply (max. pressure
of 12 bar (170 psi) with a rubber hose (rated for the
2
pressure) with an internal diameter of 6 mm (1/4").
Air system assembly
• Remove the tank (1, Fig. iii-3) from the column
(shipping position).
• Refit the tank (1, Fig. iii-4) on the back of the
machine using the screws (2, Fig. iii-4) previously
unscrewed.
3
• Connect hose (3, Fig. iii-4) to pneumatic unit.
If there is the pipe stop bracket (1, Fig. iii-5), connect
first of all the inlet pipe to the filter unit and then hook
the end part of the pipe to the bracket, as shown in
the figure.
• To install an optional accessory, follow the
instructions enclosed with it.
• Check that the lubricator operates correctly (see
the section "Maintenance").
