3.3.1. Signaling protocols
Advanced settings of SIP options.
3.3.1.1. SIP General
SIP Transport Protocol: Determines the transport layer for outgoing SIP communications
(registration, calls...) initiated by the device. The available options are: UDP (default), TCP, and TLS.
SIP Local Port: Defines the local UDP/TCP/TLS SIP port for SIP messages. The valid numeric range is
from 1024 to 65535 and the default value is 5060.
Gateway Name: Set a name to the device.
PRACK Mode: Determines (Enable or Disable) whether the device sends PRACK (Provisional
Acknowledgment) messages when receiving reliable SIP responses.
Enable RPORT: Enables or Disables whether the device adds the 'rport' parameter in the SIP Via
header.
Include PTIME in SDP: Configure whether the phone adds the PTIME parameter to the body of the
SDP message. PTIME establish the size of the audio packet in milliseconds.
Enable Keep Alive using OPTIONS: Determines whether Keep‐Alive is performed using SIP OPTIONS
messages sent to the Proxy and the time interval between Keep‐Alive messages in seconds.
Connect Media on 180 Response: Determines whether the media is connected when receiving SIP
messages 180, 183, or 200.
Block Caller ID on Outgoing Calls: When enabled, the outgoing INVITE message is sent with an
anonymous from header and P‐Asserted‐Identity header.
Configure the SIP General parameters and then click Submit.
