To turn it off, fully release the trigger switch.
WARNING! Only apply the planer onto the workpiece
when the planer is switched on to avoid kickback.
Cutting depth adjustment
The planning depth can be adjusted from 0 to 2mm by
rotating the cutting depth adjustment knob according
to the scale:
1. Turn the depth adjustment knob clockwise to in-
crease the planning depth.
2. Turn the depth adjustment knob anticlockwise to
decrease the planning depth.
NOTE! Always work from a rough cut to a finish cut and
set planning depth to 0 for storage or transportation
purposes.
Standard surface planning
1. Set the desired cutting depth.
2. Position the front part of the base plate flat onto
the work surface, with the blade not touching the
surface.
3. Switch the planer on and push it forward to start
cutting.
4. Maintain the base plate flat on the work surface to
prevent the cutting blade from jumping and move
the planer evenly over the work surface.
Edge chamfering
You can use the V-groove in the base plate to make a
chamfer onto the work piece edge:
1. Guide the planer along the workpiece edge.
2. Maintain a constant angle and force to produce
a proper finish. You can control the angle of the
chamfer with your hands.
3. Maintain downward pressure to keep your planer
flat at the beginning and the end of the work sur-
face.
Rabbeting depth adjustment
The rabbeting depth can be adjusted from 0 to 10.5mm:
1. Insert the locking knob supplied through the slot of
the rabbeting guide.
2. Insert the locking knob into the nut on the housing
and tighten it turning clockwise.
3. Place the planer onto a flat board.
4. Loosen the locking knob by turning it anticlockwise
and slide the rabbeting depth guide up and down
to the desired depth.
5. Tighten the thumb screw fully.
Blade fitting and changing
NOTE! You must always replace dull and worn bla-
des. They cannot be reground and must be replaced
in pairs.
1. Using the blade spanner supplied, loosen the
three blade installation screws approximately 1/2
rotation anticlockwise.
2. Note the direction of cut and the orientation of the
tapered edge of the old blades before removing
them. The tapered edge of the new blades must
be in the same orientation.
3. Push the blade out with the tip of a spanner or
screwdriver and then remove it. You do not need
to remove the blade clamp.
4. Always clean both the blade and the blade seat if
dirty before inserting a new blade.
5. Slide the new blade into the clamp with a spanner
or screwdriver in the correct orientation.
6. Check the new blade and the blade clamp are alig-
ned and in same position as with the old blade.
7. Retighten the three blade screws with the spanner
supplied.
