2.5. Brakes
Service brake:
In order to brake in pushing mode with decoupled drives or in an emer-
gency, a service brake is provided (Fig. 01).
Parking brake:
Switch off the scooter at standstill using the on/off switch (see chapter
5.). If the drives are engaged, the scooter cannot be pushed or moved,

as the motors brake automatically (see chapter 5.4).
The function of the service and parking brake complies with the provi-
sions of the German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations (StVZO).
Pushing mode:
A service brake is provided to brake in pushing mode when the drives
are decoupled or in an emergency (Fig. 1). The scooter is braked when
the drive is engaged by the automatic brake after the drive lever is
released. If the drives are engaged, the scooter cannot be pushed or
moved as the motors brake automatically.
2.6. Declaration of conformity
We, Bischoff & Bischoff GmbH, declare under our sole responsibility that
the Centuro S1 and Centuro S2 scooters comply with all applicable re-
quirements of MDR 2017/745.

Please note that operation in pushing mode by
disconnecting the drives must only take place
on a level surface. The electro-mechanical brake
is thereby disabled. There is a danger of fatal
injury if this instruction is not complied with.
2.7. Information about range
The range of the scooter Centuro S1/S2 is 35 km. The range that can be
achieved by electric scooters depends on the following factors:
• Composition of the carriageway
• Way of driving
• Battery condition
• Vehicle load weight
• Ambient temperature
• The use of accessories
Please note that the range specified by us was determined under test
conditions:
• Batteries as new and fully charged
• Ambient temperature of 21°C
• max. user weight of 160 kg
• Level, firm surface
• Constant speed
• Deactivated lighting system
We advise you that the following factors severely restrict the range:
• Poor state of charge of batteries
• Low ambient temperature (below 10°C)
• Frequent starting and braking
• Driving uphill
• Driving on surfaces that are not firm (field or forest paths)
• Tyre pressure incorrect or too low
If there is a combination of several factors, the range can be reduced by
up to 50 %.
