Safety instructions for workshop
cranes
The appliance must not be used if damaged or safety
equipment is defective. Replace any worn-out and
damaged parts.
Always wear a safety helmet, safety shoes with steel
caps and protective gloves when working with the
workshop crane!
Instruct bystanders to keep a minimum safety
distance of 3m!
Never stand under the lifted load!
Make sure that the work area is level and not
sloping. Before starting work, secure the workshop
crane against rolling away!
Release the load slowly and in a controlled
manner! Ensure that there are no persons in the
danger zone. (minimum distance 3m)!
Ensure that the load is reliably secured with straps
approved for the maximum load. Take note of the
centre of rotation and centre of gravity of the load.
Before commissioning:
Before using the workshop crane each time, check
the function of the device and, in particular, check the
device for any leaking hydraulic oil and to ensure that all
screws and valves are firmly secured. Oil that has leaked
must be cleaned up thoroughly. Please dispose of the
hydraulic oil in an environmentally-friendly manner. En-
sure this is disposed of via a repair workshop or contact
your nearest collection point for hazardous substances.
Keep your work area clean and tidy. Untidy workplaces
and workbenches increase the risk of accidents and
injuries.
Keep children and bystanders away while operating a
power tool.
Distractions can cause you to lose control.
Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at
all times.
The device may be operated only on a flat and smooth
surface.
18
Never overload the workshop crane beyond the
specified lifting capacity.
Make sure the bleeder screw is screwed firmly before
lifting load.
If the force to be applied is greater than 400 N,
the device should be operated with an additional
person.
Monitor the workshop crane and the load during all
movements so that you can react quickly in case of a
fault.
Risk of injury
Staying under lifted load is strictly prohibited.
Have your device repaired only by qualified professional
staff using original spare parts. This will ensure that the
safety of the power tool is maintained.
Also ensure that the warning notices remain in their
original and in good condition.
Tools which are not in used must be stored in a dry place
as high as possible out of the reach of children or in an
inaccessible place.
The load must be balanced.
Residual Risk
Even when the device is used properly and all safety
regulations are complied with, there still may be some
residual risks.
When lowering the load, fingers may be crushed
in the joints of the device. Avoid contact with the
device around the joints and wear protective gloves.
device around the joints and wear protective gloves.
When lifted loads are transported, they may
start to swing and injure the user. Move the load as
slowly as possible and with even movements so that it
cannot swing.
Do not overload the device beyond the
maximum permissible load. If overloaded
components break, falling loads can cause injuries.
Always make sure that the weight of the load is below
the permissible load for the device.
Loss of stability: Never use the device on slopes
or inclines. On slopes or inclines the load can get out
of control and put persons at risk.
Avoid contact with the
