(prep & cook)
HOW TO COOK
Cook in large skillet: Brown the beef and chopped onions over medium to high heat,
until the beef is no longer pink, and onions are translucent. Add the taco seasoning
and ½ cup of water and mix well. Let simmer for 5 minutes.
*If you are using higher fat ground beef, be sure to drain excess fat before adding taco
seasoning.
In same skillet over beef and onions, pour chili beans, tomato sauce and canned
tomatoes and green chili. Let cook for 15-20 minutes on low.
Stir frequently for juices to unit.
In Tortilla Bowl:
Spoon in chili in Tortilla Bowl and top with your favorite taco toppings:
Lettuce, Cheddar Cheese, sour cream, squeeze of lime and fresh cilantro...etc.
Other Suggestion:
You may enjoy making Spanish Rice or Chipotle Rice and placing it on the bottom of
the Tortilla Bowl before adding the Tex-Mex Chili.
