I.5.1
UNIT POWER SUPPLY
In order to power the unit, turn the
mains switch in a clockwise
direction after having armed the
automatic switch that protects the
compressor.
I.5.2
ISOLATION FROM THE ELECTRICITY
NETWORK
In order to electrically isolate the unit,
turn the mains switch in an anticlockwise
direction.
The mains switch can be locked in
order to prevent anyone
accidentally powering the unit.
IMPORTANT!
If open, the mains switch cuts off the power supply
to the plate exchanger electric heater, the buffer
tank antifreeze electric heater (RAA accessory) and
the compressor crankcase heater (RCC accessory
for models 114÷124, as standard on 127÷133).
The switch should only be disconnected for
cleaning, maintenance or repair of the machine.
I.5.3
START-UP
Press the ON/OFF key for 2 seconds.
• The LED corresponding to the operating mode which was active
when the appliance was last switched off lights up, and the display
shows the inlet water temperature.
• The compressor status LED begins to flash, indicating that the
compressor is in time-delay.
• After a short period of time, the LED lights up to indicate compressor
start-up.
I.5.4
STANDBY
Press MODE once or twice according to whether the operating mode is
winter or summer.
• The LEDs for summer and winter operation go out.
• The water inlet temperature continues to be displayed.
I.5.5
CHANGING THE OPERATING MODE
(THAEY ONLY)
Press MODE.
• The LED relating to the currently active operating mode goes out,
and the LED relating to the operating mode selected lights up.
• The compressor status LED begins to flash, indicating that the
compressor is in time-delay.
• After the time-delay has elapsed the LED remains lit, indicating that
the compressor has started to run.
The "power supply" LED
lights up.
The "power supply" LED switches
off.
I.5.6
UNIT SHUTDOWN
Press the ON/OFF, RESET-DOWN key for 2 seconds.
• The compressor and active operating mode LEDs go out.
• The power supply LED remains lit, indicating that the unit is
connected to the power supply.

KEYPAD-MODIFIABLE REGULATION
VARIABLES
The adjustment variables that can be edited from the keyboard are
illustrated in the following table.

I.5.8
SETTING SUMMER AND WINTER SET-
POINTS
To adjust the parameters, it is necessary to move up and down through
the four programming levels illustrated in the table; this is only possible
if two fundamental rules are understood:
• press the MODE-UP and ON/OFF, RESET-DOWN keys
simultaneously to move down through the levels (from 0 to 4);
• press the MODE-UP and ON/OFF, RESET-DOWN keys
simultaneously for 2 seconds to move up through the levels (from
4 to 0).
It may be necessary for the user to modify one of the parameters to suit
specific operating requirements.
To make the process clearer, let us take a particular example. Let us
suppose we want to change the HEA parameter (heating set point). The
steps are as follows:
○ press the MODE-UP and ON/OFF, RESET-DOWN keys
simultaneously.
• The compressor status, defrost status and plate exchanger element
LEDs flash.
• The display shows the label SET.
• Use the UP/DOWN keys to select the label to be modified (in this
case SET).
○ press the MODE-UP and ON/OFF, RESET-DOWN keys
simultaneously.
• The display shows the label Coo.
• Use the UP/DOWN keys to select the sub-label to be modified (in
this case HEA).
○ press the MODE-UP and ON/OFF, RESET-DOWN keys
simultaneously.
• The value of sub-label HEA is displayed.
○ Use the UP/DOWN keys to change the value of the HEA parameter
(within the preset limits).
○ After setting the desired value press the MODE-UP and ON/OFF,
RESET-DOWN key simultaneously three times for 2 seconds.
All the other available parameters may be modified using the same
procedure.
I.5.8.1
Setting the anti-freeze set point
IMPORTANT!
When modifying or varying the machine's operating
parameters, make sure that you do not create
situations that conflict with the other set
parameters.
If the cool set-point is set to a value equal to or less than 8°C, it is
necessary to change:
• the anti-freeze set point (parameter A11) in order to in order to
prevent the machine being shut down by the antifreeze safety device,
displayed by the E05 alarm (can only be modified by authorised
personnel by password).
• the cool shutdown set point (parameter C09, connected to Adaptive
function). It is to be set to: anti-freeze set-point A11 +1°C.
Whenever the A05 parameter is assigned a value below 3°C it is
essential to use water mixed with a suitable percentage of ethylene
glycol.
