ANTENNA CONNECTIONS
CONNECTING THE SUPPLIED ANTENNAS
Connections differ according to the suffix of the model number on
the rear of your unit.
Preparation
¢ Untie the supplied FM unipolar antenna.
¢ Stand the supplied MW/LW loop antenna on a surface by fixing
the claw to the slot. + EY
Connection — EJ
FM: Connect the plug of the unipolar antenna @ to the FM 75Q
terminal. Insert it into the centre of the terminal.
MW/LW: Open the levers of the MW/LW LOOP terminals. Insert
the conductors of the MW/LW
LOOP antenna ©, and shut the
levers to lock.
Positioning FM unipolar antenna
Extend this antenna vertically and fix its ends to the wall with
cellophane tape.
Positioning MW/LW loop antenna
Position this antenna to find the best direction.
* Do not bring the ends of the FM unipolar antenna near metal
objects or curtain rails.
¢ Do not unwind the MW/LW loop antenna wire.
¢ Do not bring the MW/LW loop antenna near a turntable system,
CD player, TV monitor, or the stereo system itself, or close to the
AC cord or speaker cords, since noise will be picked up.
CONNECTING AN OUTDOOR ANTENNA
For better FM reception, use of an outdoor antenna is recom-
mended.
Connect the outdoor antenna to the FM 75Q (COAXIAL) terminal.
