General system precautions
The instrument must be used as specified by the manufacturer to avoid impairment
of safety protections.
• Operate only as directed in the instructions for use.
• Do not perform instrument maintenance or service except as specifically stated.
See the instructions for use for maintenance procedures.
• Do not use flammable, explosive, and strongly reacting chemicals on the
instrument. Do not use any corrosive materials, which could cause defects on the
centrifuge.
• Do not make any connections to electrical connectors inside the instrument (for
example, behind the service door). These are for service purposes only.
• Only clean the instrument by using the cleaning fluids listed in the instructions for
use.
Movement of mechanical parts within the instrument can pinch or injure your hands
or fingers.
To prevent injury by moving parts, follow these precautions:
• Keep your hands and clothing away from the bar when closing the overhead door.
• Keep your hands away from the door frame on the lower section of the instrument
when closing the overhead door.
• Keep the overhead door closed when operating the instrument.
• Do not reach into the instrument when it is operating.
• Keep doors closed after loading specimens, sample carriers, reagents, or bulk fluids.
