SEMI AUTOMATIC WELDING WITH STEEL / STAINLESS STEEL (MODE MAG) (FIG-2, A)
The NEOPULSE can weld 0.6/0.8/1.0 steel/stainless wire.
The product is set up to work with wire Ø 1.0/1.2 steel and stainless steel. The indication on the visible side of the roller is the diameter in use (FIG-
2, B).
Steel requires a specific gas (Ar+CO2). The proportion of CO2 may vary depending on usage. For stainless steel, use Argon/CO2 with a 2% CO2
concentration. For the specific gas requirements, seek advice from your gas distributor. The gas flow in steel is between 8 and 15 / min depending
on the environment.
SEMI AUTOMATIC WELDING WITH ALUMINIUM (FIG-2, B)
This product can weld 0.8/1.0/1.2/1.6 aluminium wire. Aluminium requires a specific gas (pure Argon). For the specific gas requirements, seek advice
from your gas distributor. The gas flow in steel is between 15 and 25 / min depending on the environment.
Difference between steel and aluminium welding :
- Drive rolls : use suitable rollers (U groove).
- The rollers pressure on the wire: put a minimum pressure in order not to flatten the wire.
- Capillary tube : remove the capillary tube when welding with aluminium.
- Torch : use an aluminium torch. This aluminium torch is fitted with a teflon torch liner in order to reduce frictions. DO NOT cut the sheath!! This
torch liner guides the wire from the rollers.
- Contact tube: use the contact tube FOR aluminium, with the diameter being the same as the wire size.
When using a blue or red torch liner (aluminium welding), it is recommended to use accessory 91151
(see picture 2B). This stainless steel guide tube improves the torch liner positioning and facilitates wire feeding.
SEMI AUTOMATIC WELDING WITH CUSI & CUAL (BRAZING MODE)
The NEOPULSE can weld 0.8/1.0/1.2 CuSi & CuAl wire.
Just like with steel, the capillary tube must be in place and it must be used with a steel sheath. In brazing mode, use pure argon gas (Ar).
CONTROL INTERFACE
• A : Use the left button for top menu navigation.
Selection and validation is done by pressing the button.
• B : Use the right button for top menu navigation.
Selection and validation is done by pressing the button.
- The default unlock code is : 0000
- To update welding parameters, insert the SD card and switch if off and on again.
- A complete reset requires 1 minute without switching off the machine and the presence of the SD card.
1 - Choosing welding settings
SYNERGIC or MANUAL
2 - Choosing welding process
PULSE (PLS) or STANDARD (STD)
3 - Choosing the material (Synergic mode)
Each material is associated with one gas and one choice of wire diameter.
Several materials are available :
- Fe - Steel with gas Ar+CO2 (18%) or CO2 gas (standard only)
- AlMg5 - Aluminium with gas Ar
- SS - Stainless steel with Ar+CO² (2%)
- CuSi – Cu Si 3 with gas Ar
- CuAl – Cu Al 8 with gas Ar
- AlSi 5 et 12 with gas Ar
For optimal use, it is recommended to use the wire and gas associated with the chosen synergic mode.
These synergic parameters can be updated with the SD card (see SD card section)
4 - Arc length settings (synergic)
Adjust arc length on a -40 -> +40 scale for individual settings (synergic)
5 - Thickness settings (synergic)
6 - Thermal protection indicator
Signals thermal protection when the machine has reached maximum temperature (a few minutes).
