OPERATING THE ADAPTOR

Use the adaptor to select between the installed batteries.
„ Slide the battery switch to select the battery port to be
used.
„ When a battery no longer has a charge, slide the battery
switch to the remaining battery.

WARNING:
Read and understand entire Operator's Manual for each
product or tool using the adaptor and follow all warnings
and instructions. Failure to follow all instructions could
result in electric shock, fire and/or serious personal injury.
WARNING:
The adaptor is designed to be used only with the products
or tool categories that are specified in this Operator's
Manual. It is not designed to be used with RYOBI 40V
mowers or RYOBI 40V ground mount products. Never
use the adaptor with chainsaws to fell trees. A pinched
bar could result in a reduced operator retreat distance
from the tree. Use of other products or tool categories
could cause serious personal injuries or property damage.

OPERATION
OPERATING A 40V TOOL
See Figure 10.
WARNING:
Always operate your tool in compliance with the manu-
facturer's instructions.
„ Install one or more battery packs into the battery ports.
„ Slip an arm through each of the shoulder straps and place
them on your shoulders. Adjust the shoulder straps to a
comfortable position. Refer to Wearing and Adjusting
the Shoulder straps earlier in this manual.
„ Install the adaptor into your tool.
„ Hold the tool in the proper operating position and begin
operation. Refer to the tool's operator's manual for in-
structions on starting and using the tool.
„ When finished, stop the tool and disconnect the adaptor.
