6. ASSEMBLY AND FIRST-TIME USE
Note: Please choose an electrode holder which conforms with EN60974-11
Obtain a face shield carrying a quality control symbol and having protective glass that also carries a quality control symbol,
the protection level should be 9-10. (You should also obtain a slag hammer (chipping hammer) and wire brush) Before
assembly, ensure that the switch on the back panel of the power source is set to off and that the power plug is not inserted
into the power socket.
First connect the earth cable with earth clamp to socket (6), labelled with "-"
Insert the coupling device into the - socket and then turn it to the right as far as it will go. Pull the coupling device to ensure
that it is properly engaged. Keep the coupling device free of oil or other contamination.
Connect the welding cable with the electrode holder to socket (7), labelled with "+".
Insert the coupling device into the + socket and then turn it to the right as far as it will go. Pull the coupling device to ensure
that it is properly engaged. Keep the coupling device free of oil or other contamination.
Connect power cord to the right input voltage 230Vac
Don't make welding, ensure the power cord into a properly grounded and then turn the power switch ON. The circuit must
be equipped with delayed action-type circuit breaker or fuses.
Current and electrode diameter selection knob
This Knob allows you to adjust the welding current up and down. The associated electrode diameters are also advised on
the scale.
Handle
Use the included handle or easily and safely transporting the device.
7. OPERATION
First, connect the earth clamp to the workpiece. Ensure a good electrical connection when connecting the earth clamp.
Remove any rust, scale, paint or other contamination using a wire brush or angle grinder before connecting the earth clamp.
If you are using a steel welding table, then regularly check the earth connection and the earth clamp for signs of loosening,
corrosion or other contamination. A good earth connection is essential to a good welding result.
Turning on
On the back of the equipment, find a switch to start the welder, make sure that the power cable is connected to the
necessary source.
