which, if the wind sensor does not move
within 120 hours, will inhibit transmission
of weather-unit up-and-running data.

of the weather-unit up-and-running
data.

BUTTON FEATURES DESCRIPTION

warnings underway; the LED-light will
flash for 3".
TEST mode: By keeping pressed the
rest button for 10", the control unit goes
into test mode and the LED-light stays lit
permanently. In this mode, which lasts
5' , all alarm times are reduced to 30".
Once the 5' have elapsed or once the
reset button is pressed, the control unit
returns to normal working mode, and the
LED-light switches off.
Trimmer settings
Trimmer
= adjusting the sun level
sensitivity limit: 15 Klux (more sensitive)
/ 60 Klux (less sensitive).
Adjusting the wind level sensitivity
limit: 5 Km/h (+ sensitive) / 40 Km/h
(- sensitive).
Weather commands
The STRAUSS control unit associates
different priorities to the warnings:
the wind warning has absolute priority
over the rain and sun warning, and
inhibits them;
the rain warning has priority over the sun
warning, and inhibits it.
WIND WARNING
When the wind speed exceeds the set limit
value, that is, 2", the control unit shifts
into wind-warning mode. This is signaled
when a red "wind" LED-light switches on.
The control unit retracts the awning and
keeps it closed for duration of the alarm
time, plus 15' of safety time (the LED
flashes) after dropping back below the
wind-velocity limit.
RAIN WARNING
Water on the rain sensor for a least 5"
will cause it to trigger a control unit rain
warning; which is signaled by a red LED
(only on the STRAUSS GLO SWR) and
inhibits the sun warning.
The control unit winds up the awning for
the duration of the warning; 15' of safety.
SUN WARNING
STRAUSS GLO SW : once the limit
is exceeded for 2' , the control unit
commands the awning to extend and
open.
The LED-light of the card flashes ever
quicker and the lights keeps getting
brighter and then stays lit permanently
when the set limit is exceeded.
When the brightness drops beyond the
limit for at least 15', the control unit
commands a closing cycle and exits the
alarm mode.
If the light brightness drops rapidly, in a
3-minute span', below the 15 Klux, the
control unit commands a closing cycle
and shift out of alarm status.
