USB port
You can use the supplied USB cable to connect the device to the USB port on a computer
using the device USB port o. The SD card inserted in the device will then be displayed on
the computer as the "ESCHENBACH" drive for file operations.

HDMI
You can use the enclosed HDMI cable to connect the device via its HDMI input 2% to the
HDMI output of other devices. If the device detects the HDMI signal at the input, it auto-
matically switches to the display of this signal. To switch back to the camera display, press
and hold the MENU button y for 3 seconds. To switch back to the HDMI signal, press and
hold the MENU button y for 3 seconds again. If the connection to the HDMI device is
interrupted, the device automatically switches to the camera display.
This function depends on the output device. The camcorder or the camera must be fitted
with an HDMI output and HDMI Live.
If you do not require sound then ensure that the volume on the output device has been
switched off.
Reset
If the device no longer functions as described in these instructions, it may be due to a
malfunction, which you can eliminate yourself by resetting the device. Then press the
RESET button l.
Battery
If you own the vario DIGITAL FHD Advanced with a battery, please read this paragraph
carefully:
X The included batteries may only be removed or exchanged by authorized personnel.
X It takes 3.5 hours to completely charge the battery, and this allows an operational
duration of 4.5 hours.
