INSTALLATION and WIRING:
Caution: Permanent mounting of this product requires
drilling. It is absolutely necessary to ensure that no
other vehicle components can be damaged by this
process. Check both sides of the mounting surface
before proceeding.
Use of a 20 Amp Circuit breaker for this light
is recommended.
1. Using either the Spacer/Wire Guide or Gasket as
a template, mark the mounting holes and wire
access hole location onto the mounting surface.
IMPORTANT: This product was designed to be used
with EITHER the Spacer/Wire Guide (rail mounting
or external wire mounting) OR the Gasket (surface
mounting.)
2. Drill two (2) .204 inch diameter (#6 Drill Bit) mounting
holes (Spacer/Wire Guide also has two (2) #8
fastener holes that may be used to hold the Spacer/
Wire Guide to the surface before mounting the
Radius Light to the Spacer/Wire Guide) and a 3/4"
inch diameter (minimum) wire access hole into the
mounting surface.
3 Proceed by selecting instructions for 3a (Spacer) or
3b (Gasket)
3a. Place the Spacer/Wire Guide on to the mounting
surface and secure to surface with two (2) #8 screws
found on the inner tab of the Spacer/Wire Guide.
Pull the wires out through the wire access hole and
attach to the Radius Light assembly. Feed the now
attached wire into the Spacer/Wire Guide and coil
residual wire inside the Spacer/Wire Guide. Place
the Radius Light assembly onto the Spacer/Wire
Guide and attach to mounting surface through the
Spacer/Wire Guide with two (2) ¼" self-tapping
fasteners.
3b. Place the Gasket into position on the rear of the
Radius Light assembly while passing the wires
through the Gasket wire access hole. Ensure that the
Gasket is flush against the rear of the Radius Light
assembly.
4. Feed the Radius Light/Gasket assembly wires through
the wire access hole in the mounting surface. Press
the Radius Light/Gasket assembly onto its mounting
location so that it is flush against the mounting
surface. With the Radius Light/Gasket assembly is in
position, use two (2) 1/4" inch self-tapping fasteners
to draw and attach firmly to the mounting surface. A
torque value of 12 in-lb. (max.) is typically required to
achieve this action. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN.
5. Using appropriate sized wires (minimum 18 AWG),
extend the Radius Light/Gasket assembly to their
designated connections.
