FAILURE TO CHARGE
1. Make sure voltage is present at the wall outlet (confirm with an appliance you know is working).
2. Make sure on/off switch on the clipper is OFF.
3. Check to make sure adapter cord is plugged firmly into clipper or charging stand. Twist the adapter
cord slightly to ensure good electrical connection.
4. If failure to charge still exists, return clipper to Andis or an Andis authorized service station for
examination and repair or replacement.
CORDED OPERATION
If the clipper powers OFF in the middle of a clipping job, the power cord can be attached to continue use
in corded operation. Plug the adapter cord directly into the bottom of the clipper (Figure I). When the
clipper is running with the adapter cord attached, the blue light will remain solid ON to indicate strong
power, even if the battery is not fully charged. The clipper will charge at a slower rate while in use with
the cord attached.
CLIPPER INDICATOR LIGHTS
When the clipper is running in a cordless operation, a
blue clipper indicator light means the battery has a
strong charge. When the light turns red (Figure I) the
battery level is low and should be recharged as soon as
possible. If the clipper automatically powers OFF, move
the power switch to the OFF position and either charge
in the charging stand or plug in to cord to continue
trimming.
The clipper automatically powering off protects the
lithium-ion battery and is not a malfunction. The clipper
will resume normal operation when it is recharged or
plugged in to its power cord. The MLC clipper, by
design, will run at full power until the battery is fully
depleted.
USING ATTACHMENT COMBS
(Some models do not have combs and sizes will
vary by kit)
To use, slide front of attachment comb over the teeth of the blade. Snap comb down over back of blade
(Figure J). Use the clipping guide to find the approximate lengths of cut. Different blade angles in relation
to the skin, thickness and texture of the hair will vary the cutting length.
