The following precautions and procedures should also
be followed to avoid accidents:
▪ Keep the workpiece/object well secured during
grinding;
▪ Do not grind workpieces/objects on the side of the
grinding wheel;
▪ Press the workpiece/objects smoothly against the
grinding wheel;
▪ Keep your hands away from the grinding wheel;
Avoid using the bench grinder on surfaces coated with
paints containing lead or other materials harmful to
health. Any contact or inhalation of dust may cause
allergic reactions and / or breathing disorders. Wear a
mask and use a dust extraction device.
Maintenance and cleaning
Before performing cleaning, adjusting, accessories
changing, repairing and maintenance work, the power
cord must be unplugged from the socket.
Replace worn out or damaged parts immediately, so that
the power tool is always in a safe operating condition.
Cleaning:
The power tool must be carefully cleaned after each use.
Do not use aggressive cleaning products. These products
may damage plastics and metals, compromising the safe
operation of the power tool.
Maintenance:
Only maintenance works described in this instruction
manual may be carried out; all other works must be
performed by an official dealer.
Keep all nuts and screws well tightened in order to ensure
a safe operation.
If any components or safety devices are removed for
maintenance works, they must be repositioned
immediately and correctly.

Use only VITO-approved tools for this machine or
technically identical parts. Failure to do so may result in
personal injuries or damages to the bench grinder. If in
doubt, if you lack knowledge or resources, you should
contact an official dealer.
Technical Assistance
Your bench grinder should only be serviced by the
manufacturer's internal service personnel, or other
qualified personnel, replacing any necessary parts with
original parts sourced directly from the manufacturer.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Fixing the bench grinder to the workbench
The bench grinder must always be securely mounted on
a workbench.
1. Mark the workbench through the two mounting
holes located in the grinder base;
2. Drill a hole, with a diameter suitable for the fastening
screw, in each marked position;
3. Secure the bench grinder to the workbench and
insert a screw with washer into each of the holes.
Secure the bench grinder to the workbench/table
through the 2 fixing holes;
4. Insert a nut into each screw and tighten them firmly;
Eye shield installation
The eye shield offers additional protection against the
projection of material and should always be used. Flying
material/particles can cause injury and if it is hot
material, it can set fire to nearby objects.
1. Install the eye shield (6) using the screws and nuts on
the mounting bracket (8);
2. Adjust the eye shield so that the distance between
the end of the eye shield and the grinding wheel is as
small as possible and never less than 2 mm;
3. Tighten the eye shield fixing screw;
