Upper/lower temperature
limit controller
functioning in case of
excess and insufficient
temperature
Thermal safety class 3.3
Protection of the incubator, its environment and
the load against inadmissible excess and insuffi-
cient temperature.
Only admissible for non-dangerous loads.
Function:
This controller complements the function of the
temperature limit controller as per thermal safety class 3.1.
With the flip switch, it can be turned on/off as desired to
offer additional protection against insufficient load
temperature if the controller fails.
Lower limit
safeguard
Upper limit
safeguard
Temperature limit controller with upper and lower limit
safeguard.
Setting of the upper limit safeguard:
Set the desired temperature for take-over in the event of
overheating as described under "temperature limit
controller" (excess temperature).
Setting of the lower limit safeguard:
Turn on the white switch after the set temperature has been
reached.
Pilot lamp in the switch lights up.
A slow turn of the knob will reveal the trigger position on
the dial of the lower limit controller (the orange warning
lamp lights up).
After that, turn back the knob a little so that the orange
lamp will go out.
Operational test:
The upper/lower limit controller should, at reasonable
intervals, be tested for proper operation. It is recommended
that this test also be carried out routinely by the authorized
operating personnel, e.g. prior to the start of a longer work
process.
