This stitch is useful in garment construction, and in finishing
the raw edges of any sewing project.
Start overcasting about 1/8"(0.3 cm) inside the raw corner
of a fabric. The right tip of the stitch should just clear the
row edge.

® Seam finishing
This stitch is used to finish the seam allowance on
synthetics and other fabrics that tend to pucker.
Place your fabric to allow a 1.6 cm (5/8") seam.
Trim the seam allowance after sewing.
Note • Be careful not to cut the stitches.

catches both sides.
