Important notes
• Set the required operating
mode before commissioning the
FPM 611-...
• If you adjust the rotary switch for
setting the operating mode, ALL
taught-in fingerprints are deleted.
• Individual administrator, master
and user fingerprints cannot be
deleted. Administrator and master
fingerprints can only be removed via
delete mode. User fingerprints can
also be deleted during operation as
a group or ALL together.
• In some cases, it can happen that
a fingerprint cannot be scanned due
to absence of biometric characteris-
tics. In this case, try using a different
finger. This applies primarily to
children and older people. In these
cases, it is also possible that a finger-
print will not be recognised.
3 Operating mode
• Open the flap on the back of the
module with the aid of a screw-
driver.
• Set the desired operating mode
(0 to 9) on the rotary switch. Once
the required operating mode has
been set, close the flap and re-fit the
module.

Master fingerprint

100 user fingerprints.
Administrator fingerprint
• Maximum number 1
• Authorised to scan a maximum of

Group administrator fingerprint

Important notes
To ensure that you have a record
later on of the different entitle-
ments, we advise noting down the
fingerprints and the people they
belong to in the attached fingerprint
table. Before filling in, make a copy
of the fingerprint table.
5 Draw the finger correctly over
the sensor
• To ensure that the module is able
to reliably recognize your fingerprint,
draw it over the sensor to allow it
to be scanned in. Ensure that you
maintain as constant a speed, posi-
tion and light contact pressure as
possible.
• The read-in process must be
started within 10 seconds fol-
lowing activation, as otherwise the
FPM 611-... returns to the operating
status.
• Interruptions of more than 15 sec-
onds automatically return the system
to the operating mode. (Time out)
