Before Using
WARNING
• To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons, read the SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS before
operating this appliance.
NOTE
• Connect to the hot water supply only. The water supply temperature should be a minimum of 120 °F (49
°C) for better washing performance and shorter cycle time.
• Follow the instructions for loading the dishwasher to ensure effective cleaning.
• Remove insoluble items such as bones, toothpicks, and pieces of paper while loading the dishwasher.
Checking Water Hardness Level
Method 1

Talk to the local municipal water department to check the water hardness in your area.

Set the water softening level on the appliance based on this information.
Method 2
Test the hardness of your water using the strips included with the appliance.

Pour a glass of water from the tap, and submerge the test area of the strip in the water for about a
second. Do not hold the test strip under running water.

Shake off excess liquid from the strip and wait for 1 minute.

Check the color on the strip against the chart on the package to determine the water hardness.
4
Set the water softening level on the appliance.
