PRELIMINARY INFORMATION
Mixers of the KAWA series are fit for operating with hot water collectors
under pressure, instantaneous and gas water-heaters.
ATTENTION: the connection with hot water collectors without pressure
(with open circuit) is not possible.

INSTALLATION OF INTERNAL PARTS (ref. Fig. A➞E)
- Prepare an appropriate hole in the wall and insert the tap with the
protection ASSEMBLED. The installation proportions are indicated in Fig.
A (the admissible depth of the fitting into the wall is meant with the
complete wall including the coating).
- Connect the mixer to the supply pipes. Do not weld the mixer to the pipes.
- Check position with a spirit level.
- Open the ducts of water and check the tightness of the connections
(maximum test pressure 16 bar static).
- Apply the tiles to the wall so that they butt against the protection casings
(1).
INSTALLATION OF EXTERNAL PARTS (ref. Fig. F➞P)
- Trim with a cutter the protection's part in excess (1).
- Turn the screws (2) down with a 3 mm Allen wrench, remove the plug (3)
and unscrew the plug (4) with a 22 mm wrench.
- Screw the diverter (5) using a 18 mm wrench.
- Check that the are the sealing O Rings (6) on the external body.
- Assemble the external body (7) and tighten with the screws (8).
- Assemble the covering plate (9) and insert the cover cartridge (10).
- Assemble the lever (11) screwing the locking pin (12) with an Allen
wrench of 2,5 mm.
- Assemble the covering (13) and tighten the locking pins (14) with a 2.5
mm Allen wrench; mount then the covering caps (15).
- Mount the diverter's knob (16) and tighten the docking pin (17) with a 1.5
mm Allen wrench.
REPLACEMENT OF THE MIXING VALVE
WITH CERAMIC DISCS (ref. Fig. N➞Q)
- Close the hot water and cold water inlets.
- Unscrew the locking pin (17) with a 1.5 mm Allen wrench and
disassemble the diverter's knob (16).
- Remove the covering caps (15), unscrew the locking pins (14) with a 2.5
mm Allen wrench and disassemble the covering (13).
- Unscrew the locking pin (12) with a 2.5 mm Allen wrench and remove the
lever (11).
- Disassemble the cover cartridge (10), remove the nut (18) with a 27 mm
wrench and remove the mixing valve (19).
- Insert the new mixing valve verifying that no dirt is left between the plane
surface and the gaskets.
- Screw the caps (18) by DYNAMOMETRIC WRENCH applying a coupling
torque of 10Nm.
- Proceed in the opposite way to assemble the mixer again.

Los mezcladores de la serie KAWA son idoneos para el funcionamiento con
acumuladores de agua caliente bajo presión, calderas instantáneos
eléctricos y a gas.
ATENCION: la conexión con acumuladores de agua caliente sin presión
(circuito abierto) no es posible.

INSTALACIÓN PARTES EMPOTRADAS (ref. Fig. A➞E)
- Preparen un hueco adecuado en la pared e introduzcan el mezclador con
la protección MONTADA. Las cotas de instalación se indican en la Fig. A
(la profundidad por empotrar admisible se entiende con pared acabada,
revestimiento incluso).
- Conectan el mezclador a los tubos de alimentación. No efectúen
soldaduras entre el mezclador y los tubos.
- Comprobar la colocación mediante un nivelador.
- Abran la alimentación del agua y controlen el cierre de los connexiones
(presión máxima de ensayo: 16 bar, estática).
- Aplicar los azulejos sobre la pared de modo que rozen los envoltorios de
protección (1).
INSTALACIÓN PARTES EXTERNAS (ref. Fig. F➞P)
- Recorten utilizando un troquel la parte en exceso de la protección (1).
- Destornillen los tornillos (2) con la ayuda de una llave de Allén de 3 mm,
quiten el tapón (3) y destornillen el tapón (4) utilizando una llave de 22
mm.
- Atornillen el desviador (5) utilizando una llave de 18 mm.
- Verifiquen si hay OR de cierre (6) en el cuerpo exterior.
- Monten el cuerpo exterior (7) y cierren con los tornillos (8).
- Monten la placa de cobertura (9) e introduzcan el cubre-cartucho (10).
- Monten la maneta (11) cerrando el perno de fijación (12) con una llave
Allen de 2,5 mm .
- Monten la cobertura (13) y cierren con las clavijas de fijación (14)
utilizando una llave de Allén de 2.5 mm; apliquen las plaquitas de
coberturas (15).
- Monten el botón de la desviación (16) y cierren con la clavija de fijación
(17) utilizando una llave de Allén de 1.5 mm.
SUSTITUCIÓN DE LA VÁLVULA MEZCLADORA
CON DISCOS CERÁMICOS (ref. Fig. N➞Q)
- Cierren las entradas del agua caliente y del agua fría.
- Destornillen la clavija de fijación (17) utilizando una llave de Allén de 1.5
mm y desmonten el botón de la desviación (16).
- Quiten las plaquitas de cobertura (15), destornillen las clavijas de fijación
(14) utilizando una llave de Allén de 2.5 mm y desmonten la cobertura
(13).
- Destornillen la clavija de fijación (12) utilizando una llave de Allén de 2.5
mm y suelten la palanca (11).
- Desmonten el cubre-cartucho (10), destornillen el casquete (18) utilizando
una llave de 27 mm y remuevan la válvula mezcladora (19).
- Introduzcan la nueva válvula mezcladora cuidando con que no quede
incrustaciones entre el llano y las juntas.
- Atornillen el casquillo (18) con la LLAVE DINAMOMÉTRICA, aplicando un
par de apriete de 10Nm.
- Efectúen el procedimiento inverso para volver a montar el mezclador.
